Next-gen proving ground traffic control solution

Leading automotive test system supplier AB Dynamics will showcase its advanced Vehicle Driving Simulator (aVDS), Flex-0 drive-by-wire system, LaunchPad with moped VRU dummy, and Ground Traffic Control (GTC) System.


Leading automotive test system supplier AB Dynamics will showcase its advanced Vehicle Driving Simulator (aVDS), Flex-0 drive-by-wire system, LaunchPad with moped VRU dummy, and Ground Traffic Control (GTC) System.

The GTC is a next-generation software and hardware solution that monitors, commands and coordinates proving ground vehicle testing. It is a comprehensive package for all test track traffic, including robot-controlled vehicles, ADAS platforms, human-driven vehicles as well as fixed proving ground infrastructure such as traffic lights and barriers.

Customer applications include ADAS and autonomous vehicle testing, durability testing, mixed proving ground management, autonomous vehicle fleet management, swarm testing, sim-city environments, and V2V and V2X communications.

Furthermore, the GTC’s advanced real-time collision checking and prevention system improves proving ground safety, efficiency and throughput by allowing GPS-tracked mixed traffic to coexist on the proving ground.

Supervisors can track and monitor the location of all vehicles and robot platforms throughout the proving ground in a single map view or zoom into individual vehicles.
